Use any (or a combination) of techniques of propaganda to create a mini propaganda poster (standard paper size) promoting reading.
DUE DATE: September 11, 2015 If you don't have a copy of The Tempest (AP3) or Fahrenheit 451 (Pre-AP2), this would be a great time to get a copy. Look for other books on the reading list, too!
[If you need the in-class handouts (SOAPStone graphic organizer, Gettysburg Address, etc.) email me.]
Please use the SOAPStone strategy to generate authors' purpose statements for the two documents below, then create two dialectical journal entries in your composition notebooks. Due: Sept. 8 (A Day), 9 (B Day)
Please supplement your reading of Shakespeare's Tempest with this (or other film version). Do NOT use this as a substitute for reading the play.
If you missed class, or need a second (third?) copy of the texts we looked at, please download a PDF and print it out:
This is the video we watched in class. What issues does it raise/address?
If you need a copy of today's rhetorical terms packet, the dialectical journal model, or the text that accompanied the dialectical journal model, please e-mail me.
