If you would like to listen to a recording of the book (narrated by author William Golding!) as you read, there are a series of files on SchoolTube. (The link takes you to Chapter One; you should be able to figure things out from there.)
Enjoy! (This is meant to supplement your reading, not to substitute for it. You still need to read and annotate your copy of the text.) Hat Tip: Thanks KA from 1st Period! Subject to change, but plan on the following:
Beyond the 14th of May we'll be with the novel for a while, so continue to bring the text to class. Subject to change, but plan on the following:
Beyond the 4th of May we'll be with the play for a while, so continue to bring the text to class. If you lose today's handout, either print out another and complete the back, or copy the quotes below and identify the speaker and quotes' significance (the front of the handout will help, but is not required to complete the homework).
There will be a Julius Caesar book check at our next meeting, April 10. Paper or e-book, but not online-only (as you will need to annotate).
You may find free e-books at Amazon or Google Play, but they may not be as helpful in the area of footnotes or explanations as paid version. Find the free copies here: Amazon: Kindle version Google Store: Google Play version |
